The Update part 2 (Final!)

As you may have figured out from the last post, these aren't exactly big milestone happenings that NEED to be written about. I just like to post pics of my mini family for everyone to see and as a place for me to remember all that goes on! It may be a long post, but just be happy its not alot of words! I could re-cap all that happens on each of these days, but you'd never come back again! I just have a few more, and I'll be all caught up and finally back to talking about the present!

And I'm off...

I spent my first night away from Cameron for a friends wedding in Newport, RI. After 15 months! Tons of fun (and OK, only a tiny bit sad!)
Cameron started playing WITH other kids, not just next to them! We walked into the room for Cam trying to hug Miss Ashlyn, but I missed it on camera!

I had my second Mother's Day! We celebrated it by going for a picnic at the Massachusetts Horticultural Society. It was great weather and Cameron had a blast exploring the park.
The only Mommy and Son pic taken on MOTHER'S DAY!! Sigh.
Kissing Daddy's head. :)
Sniffing the flowers.
Then off to my parents to wish Happy Mothers Day to my mom.
We went down to the Cape house for the first time this year.
We discovered mini ice cream cones!! Perfect size for little hands and perfect serving for little bellies!
We went our first cookout of the year! Cam got to spend some big boy play time with his cousin Ryan. They even got to share some fruit!
We bought Cam some new "Big Boy" toys. First, we got him a cute little trike that can be pushed by us. He sits on it and makes the "vroom vroom" noise the whole time, hence the facial expression.

Then we got him his very own pirate ship water table. This is his new favorite toy, hands down!
Ok guys, that was a long one, but I'm pretty much up to date! Back to shorter, hopefully more entertaining, posts!

I'm back (Hopefully!)

Ok, so maybe the 365 Day project didn't work for me. I swear I have pictures for practically every day, the camera lives around my neck, I just don't have the time (or creativity) to post something for each day that people will want to actually read!

So hear I am, going back to a post every few days, with pictures galore, I promise. But for now how about a quick, ok loooong, re-cap of all that has happened since the last post! (This may be in a few parts!)

We celebrated St. Patty's Day, clad in green, as a true Irish kiddo should.
Cam had ice cream for the first time.
*Bliss*
He learned how to use eating utensils!
His boo-boo got better.
He got new fishies, again. (Which all died later that week. Again.)
Cam's best friend learned to walk.
Spring arrived, which with a toddler, equals the official start of Playground Season.
We celebrated Easter...
(Look at his hat! The only pic I got of him in it!)
...And my birthday!
He all of the sudden turned into a big boy. I literally got him dressed this particular morning and he wasn't a baby anymore! Sad, scary and exciting all in one!!
Aunt Michelle had her bridal shower.
He had his first drink at the bar, milk of course.
Cousin Ryan (and my Godson) got christened.

He became obsessed with bubbles. Seriously, it's a toddlers addiction!

He broke the rules and started throwing rocks into Grandpa's fish pond. But he looks so cute doing it, even Grandpa lets him!
He started taking swimming lessons.
We got the first ever good picture of both cousins together! After 11 months!!
He "fed" the ducks for the first time.

Weekend Recap

This weekend was a low key, rainy weekend. And we loved every second of it! Even my best friend was away for work so we didn't even have a planned play date! On Saturday, Mark got to spend some quality daddy/son time with Cameron while I went to a wedding shower. I'm pretty sure, besides lunch time, Cam was asleep for most of it. Lucky Daddy. We stayed in the rest of the rainy afternoon and even got to watch a movie that night. And I stayed awake. THROUGH THE WHOLE THING! That hasn't happened since I was on bed rest over a year ago!

Cameron's Great Aunt Kathy dropped off a new bathing suit set for him. I LOVE IT! The pattern is adorable and the fact that the shorts go down to his ankles makes he laugh hysterically every time I see it! All set for swimming lessons now!

Day 72
Sunday we laid low around the house again I was even allowed to sleep in by both Mark and Cam. Until 8. Wow! Hey, anything is better then 5:45! That afternoon we went to my parents house for dinner. Cam had fun bothering Grampa on the computer. Better him then me! His new thing is every time I open my laptop, he runs over and slams it shut, hard and with a little grunt! Before all he did was play with the buttons. Now I think he gets mad at me for showing attention to something else for two seconds. Oh sweet Cam-bam, at least he was nice to Grampa's computer.

Quick trip to the ER

Today was such an awful day! It started out crappy. Its been raining for days now, and we just want it to be over! Mark came home to have lunch with Cameron and I. After we had all eaten, we were standing in the playroom talking, while Cam played with his toys. He was looking out the window at all the rain, and all of the sudden I saw him trip, fall and hit his head on his wooden play cube. Right on the forehead! Mark ran and picked him up to see a deep cut right in the middle of his forehead. I started crying immediately and couldn't even look at him. It was so sad to hear him screaming, but right when I took him from Mark he stopped. Other then the bleeding, he acted like nothing had happened. We could tell that he needed some stitches, so off to the ER we went. He did great at the hospital. They opted to glue it shut instead of stitches, so hopefully the scar won't be so bad. We were in and out in about an hour and a half, which made the process a little less traumatizing, but oh my goodness, I feel like an awful mother! I understand that things like this can happen, are even expected to happen, but at 13 months? He's still just a baby. I should be able to protect him from these things. Well, he is Marks son. What better way to show it then with matching scars?

Here we are waiting for the Novocain to take action so that the doctor could work on him, pain free!

Here he is after he was put back together. Happy as a clam. Nothing phases this boy!!

Once we got home with his new Handy Manny band aid, we let him lay on his bear and watch some TV before bed. It was a BUSY day!
